Description The initial phase of this project will be to develop functional design plans for the elevation of Foster Road from No Name Street to Dubuque Street. Justification Currently Foster Road is the single means of access for the Peninsula neighborhood. When the Iowa River reaches major flood stages, portions of Foster Road between No Name Street and Dubuque Street become inundated, thus requiring neighborhoods to be evacuated. The intent of this project is to elevate Foster Road above historic flood levels to maintain access to the Peninsula area. Total Project Cost: $75,000 Status Active
