Upcoming Challenges: • Maintain response time and services as vacated patrol positions are being filled. • Re-establish specialty positions, Street Crimes, Investigations, Crime Prevention, Downtown and Neighborhood liaisons as staffing is replaced. • Increase positive engagement with immigrant and refugee communities. • Continue focus on decreasing disproportionality in police contacts. • Increase utilization of the Guidelink Access Center and Mobile Crisis Outreach as an alternative to arrest or hospitalization and link those in need to services.
