Airport Operations

The Airport Operations division oversees the operation of the airport facilities.

Airport Fund Activities: • Airport Operations

• Airport Capital Reserves

Boards and Commissions: The Airport Commission exercises all the powers granted to cities and towns under Chapter 330 of the Code of Iowa, except the power to sell said airport. All funds derived from taxation or otherwise for airport purposes shall be under the full and absolute control of the Airport Commission, deposited with the City Treasurer, and disbursed only on the written warrants or order of the Airport Commission.

Recent Accomplishments: • Completed additional fuel storage capacity project. • Completed Terminal Apron & Taxiway project. • Hosted Drive-In Movie nights with Summer of the Arts.

Upcoming Challenges: • Need to diversity of funding for operations. • Reliance on grant programs for projects to be completed.
