Description This project includes the design and installation of an expansion of the Landfill Dual Extraction System, which was originally constructed in 2018. This project will expand the current system (13 pnuematic pumps and 4 solar pumps) to include pumps in 8-9 additional wells and add SCADA monitoring to the proposed new and existing pumps. Justification The expansion of the Landfill's Dual Extraction System will positively impact eight or nine more wells, which have liquid levels that are close to or exceed the screen within them. Having high liquid levels limits or prevents gas from being able to be pulled from those wells. Expansion of the Dual Extraction System will allow landfill operators to better control leachate and gas management onsite. This will enhance operator functionality and reduce manual labor time. Adding SCADA greatly improves monitoring capabilities and efficiencies for landfill staff. Total Project Cost: $600,000 Status Active

Budget Impact/Other Adding SCADA monitoring to the new and existing pumps will increase staff efficiency by allowing central monitoring., but but the annual savings are expected to be less than $10,000 per year.
