Boards and Commissions: The Airport Commission exercises all the powers granted to cities and towns under Chapter 330 of the Code of Iowa, except the power to sell said airport. All funds derived from taxation or otherwise for airport purposes shall be under the full and absolute control of the Airport Commission, deposited with the City Treasurer, and disbursed only on the written warrants or order of the Airport Commission.

Recent Accomplishments: • Finished the realignment of Runway 12/30 for obstruction mitigation. • Hosted the Optimist Club Pancake Breakfast • Began construction of solar array to generate power and offset costs for runway lighting, terminal, and ambulance buildings’ electrical needs.

Upcoming Challenges: • Continued challenges with revenue diversity (71% of income is from hangar rents) • Continued increasing costs with building maintenance for aged buildings (1950s-1970s construction)
