FY27 Proposed Budget

Recent Accomplishments:

• Calder Park, Adelaide Joy Rogers Park, College Green Park and Brookland Park renovations complete. • Ecological restoration work nearly completed at Hickory Hill Park using Iowa DNR REAP Grant funds. Trail and amenities project nearly complete at Ashton House Grounds with DNR REAP funds.

Upcoming Challenges:

• Climate Change - Trend toward extreme weather events. • Care of newly planted trees throughout the community. • Rapidly aging trail bridges and surfacing.

Service Level Change Summary: There are no service level changes in the fiscal year 2027 budget.

Staffing Level Change Summary: There are no staffing level changes in the fiscal year 2027 budget.

Financial Highlights: Expenditures increased $230,800 or 4.6% which primarily covers personnel expense as well as $148,000 in Capital Outlay.
