Recent Accomplishments: •

Substantial completion of the Asphalt Resurfacing 2025 Project. • Substantial completion of the CDBG Fairmeadows Sidewalk Improvements Project. • Substantial completion of the Bradford Drive Water Main Replacement Project. • Substantial completion of the Fire Station 1 Sleeping Quarter and Restroom. Renovation and City Hall Third Floor Renovation Project. • Functional design of the Kitty Lee Road Improvements Project. • Completion of the Court Hill Trail Replacement Project. • Completion of the Landfill Equipment Building Replacement Project. • Completed design of the Wastewater Digester Complex Rehabilitation Project. • Completed design of the Wastewater Digester Gas Improvements Project. • Submitted an application to permit the Carson Farms Stormwater Retention Basin through the Army Corps of Engineers. • Adopted SUDAS Design Standards. • Closed out the Burlington/Madison Intersections Improvements Project. • Closed out the Benton Street Rehabilitation Project. • Closed out of the Melrose Avenue / IWV Road – Highway 218 to Hebl Avenue Improvement Project. • Closed out the Highway 6 Trail Project – Fairmeadows to Heinz. • Hosted two events, where volunteers logged 75 hours of service to clean up the City’s watersheds, waterways, wetlands, prairies, and other natural spaces in calendar year 2024. • The Stormwater Quality Best Management Practices Program participated in a total of 39 projects aimed at improving stormwater runoff water quality throughout the community, providing approximately $41,510 toward total combined project costs in fiscal year 2025. • Initiated one creek repair project totaling approximately $42,500 to repair damaged areas along local creeks in fiscal year 2025. • Completed design and construction of projects to repair damaged storm sewer infrastructure at various locations within the City. • Participating in the Your Best Lawn campaign with the cities of Coralville and North Liberty, and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
