FY27 Proposed Budget
• Wastewater Debt Service consists of principal and interest payments on wastewater revenue bonds, which are repaid with wastewater revenue. • Wastewater Capital Reserves accounts for wastewater funds that are set aside for the replacement of wastewater and sanitary sewer infrastructure.
Recent Accomplishments: •
Digester Complex Rehabilitation/RNG Project will commence construction fall of CY25 and require coordination with staff and contractor for smooth installation and plant operations FY26-2286. • Replacement of HVAC units on the Influent Pump Station CY25. •
Replacement of HVAC units on the Napoleon Park Pump Station CY25. • Replacement of the grit classifier, placement of Parshall flumes in the influent channel, replacement of the dewatered biosolids conveyor completed construction CY25. • Continued Cartegraph implementation for the wastewater treatment plant that started in CY24. • Continued Cartegraph build out in Collections with the integration of historical data linkage to the desk top product. • Replacement of controls at Peninsula Lift Station. Controls for Rundell and Center are built and will be installed as construction progresses at the storm water pump station. Work was completed by WWD staff, CY 25. • Replacement of sludge feed pumps from tank 8001 to the heat exchangers requires coordinating between the existing pumps and fabricating new piping to make the connection between the new pumps and existing piping. Work completed by WWD staff CY25. • Replacement of existing mixers in Cells 10 by placement of new energy efficient mixers in Cells 9 & 10, of Trains 4. Work was completed by WWD staff CY25. • Installation of gantry crane in the basement of the Sludge Pumping/Recirulation Building to assist with pump repairs. • Continued review of development projects within the City in conjunction with Engineering, to ensure City standards are followed, and meets our long-term goals. • Continue to support inspection request for new sewer installations within the City prior to acceptance so to reduce issues when the contractor maintenance bond ends. • Continue to work with a 5-year sewer maintenance program to optimize the Sewer Main Replacement fund. This incorporates the current lining repair program and captures sewer replacement projects.
