The Airport Operations division oversees the operation of the airport facilities.

Boards and Commissions: The Airport Commission exercises all the powers granted to cities and towns under Chapter 330 of the Code of Iowa, except the power to sell said airport. All funds derived from taxation or otherwise for airport purposes shall be under the full and absolute control of the Airport Commission, deposited with the City Treasurer, and disbursed only on the written warrants or order of the Airport Commission.

Recent Accomplishments: • Completed solar array for airfield lighting, terminal, and North Hangar buildings. • Completed Runway 12/30 Threshold relocation and remarking for obstruction mitigation.

Upcoming Challenges: • Space needs for terminal building - Lack of office space for flight instructors. • Revenue diversification – Still depending heavily on hangar rents for income.
