IOWA CITY PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION The Iowa City Parks and Recreation Commission meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 5 PM. The Commission’s duties include recommending and reviewing policies, rules, regulations, ordinances, and budgets relating to parks, playgrounds, recreation centers, and cultural functions of the City and making such reports to the City Council as the commission deems in the public interest.
