Description This is an annual project to convert overhead electrical systems to underground. Dubuque Street, Riverside Drive, and Gilbert Street are currently the priority corridors for undergrounding electrical facilities.

Justification The City receives franchise fees from utility services. A portion of these fees is assigned to underground electrical issues and for moving electrical lines underground. This creates fewer electrical issues due to weather and a cleaner appearance from fewer above ground lines.
