ICSC pulled me back into one aspect of social life after my husband passed. I truly believe the classes and contact with people gave me one avenue to move forward . The Center got me out of my house and back into life .

- Anonymous ICSC member

There is no way to express my gratitude to the Center for the opportunity to continue my academic discipline through offering classes. I would have to say that my experience in teaching at the Center, with a surprising and fulfilling encounter with seniors, has been the most rewarding of my life . - Louis DeGrazia, ICSC instructor

Programs & Services for All ICSC wants all area seniors to have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of membership. We offer a low-income discount on memberships, which includes discounted parking and reduced class fees. 10% of our members make use of the low-income program.

THERE IS NO SHORTAGE OF MUSIC AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES AT ICSC! FY2023 saw increased participation in all of our music/performance offerings. ICSC-sponsored opportunities include Lyrics Alive, a fun weekly singalong with live instrumental accompaniment; Voices of Experience, our senior choir; and Senior Standing Room Only, ICSC’s readers theatre group. ICSC Art Galleries feature rotating exhibits every few months. In FY2023, the galleries hosted a mixed media intergenerational exhibit, photography exhibits, and ICSC member and community collaborations that included a beautiful variety of work. Sales commission for all work sold in the exhibit space supports the Senior Center’s operational budget. Learning Through Experience art class is a free course that allows Senior Center members the opportunity to learn new art techniques and experiment with various media without the burden of paying for materials and instruction.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

In FY2023, our partnership with Table to Table to provide older adults with wholesome, edible food that would otherwise go to waste, became so successful that a larger space was needed to distribute weekly food deliveries. ICSC now hosts a Monday morning community coffee in our 1st floor lobby as a social backdrop for Table to Table grocery deliveries. All are welcome! During the rest of the week, ICSC's Simple & Free Pantry Exchange is located on the ground floor of the Senior Center. Anyone can freely give and/or take food and personal care items.

Save the date for our next ICSC Appreciation Party: WE APPRECIATE ALL OUR DONORS, VOLUNTEERS, AND MEMBERS!
