LIVE 2 B HEALTHY CLASSES ICSC is excited to partner with Live 2 B Healthy to expand our fitness class offerings. These classes are free for those with SilverSneakers, Silver&Fit, Renew Active, and One Pass (health insurance fitness programs); or you can participate for a fee if you do not have a qualifying insurance plan. Register with the Live 2 B Healthy instructor at your first class (enrollment is not taken through the Senior Center). Cardio Drumming An energetic, low-impact workout that combines rhythmic drumming with movement to improve strength, balance, and flexibility while enhancing cognitive function through rhythm and coordination challenges. Set to lively music, the class uses exercise balls, stability balls, buckets and drumsticks to create a fun and engaging environment. Fee: $7 for drop-in, pay instructor; or free with SilverSneakers, Silver&Fit, Renew Active, One Pass. Membership required. Strength, Balance & Flexibility Wednesdays, Fridays, 9-9:45 am Location: Room 103 Instructor: Matt Seemuth This engaging program, led by a nationally certified fitness professional experienced in 55+ adult fitness, aims to reduce fall risk and promote independence through a variety of exercises using small balls, light weights, loops, and bands. Classes focus on building core and stabilizing muscle strength. Fee: $7 for drop-in, pay instructor; or free with SilverSneakers, Silver&Fit, Renew Active, One Pass. Membership required. Seated Yoga/Meditation Style Format Tuesdays, 1-1:45 pm Location: Room G13 Instructor: Live 2 B Healthy Instructor

To make an appointment, call 319-356-5220 or visit icgov.org/icsc-services Therapeutic Massage Wednesdays, Sep 10, Oct 8, Nov 12, Dec 10 Location: Room G03 Massage therapist Eric Brush’s individualized style of massage is deliberate, very focused, and helps resolve muscular tension, reduce the pain associated with chronic and acute problems, increase joint range of motion, as well as provide an overall deep relaxation. Please bring your own set of sheets to your appointment. Fee: $75 for a 1-hour massage ($60 for participants in ICSC's low-income membership program); pay provider. Personal Training w/ Jake Raecker Location: ICSC Fitness Rooms Jake Raecker, Board Certified in Geriatric Physical Therapy, offers personal training in the Senior Center's resistance training room, by appointment only. To make an appointment call Jake at 319-464-5410. Fee: $70/hour ($52.50/hour for participants in ICSC’s low income membership program); pay trainer. Membership required. Advance Health Care Planning We can’t predict when a sudden illness or injury could leave us unable to communicate or make decisions. Who would know what kind of medical treatment you want or don't want? Honoring Your Wishes is a community-wide program that helps you reflect, share, and document your health care preferences (before a crisis) to ensure your family, friends, and health care team know what's important to you and your wishes are honored. Certified ACP facilitators will guide you through these conversations and help you create or update a written health care directive. Caregiver Information and Referral Help for those seeking individualized information, referral, and support beyond the Caregiving Support Group. These sessions are offered by support group leader Mary McCall.
