Summer 2023 Activity Guide

ADAPTIVE PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS Individualized lessons for children and adults with special needs who would benefit from a one-to-one approach to water safety and instruction. Lessons are sensory-friendly, customizable, and designed with the participant and their needs in mind. Registration is done through our Aquatics Program Supervisor.

PADDLEBOARDING Be introduced to stand-up paddle boarding in a controlled setting! Learn how to safely get on and off the board, tips for moving from kneeling to standing on the board, and paddling techniques out at City Park Pool. Lifejackets will be provided and required for all participants.

SNORKELING Explore pools, lakes, and oceans with new eyes and skills! Learn to safely breathe underwater, use snorkeling equipment, and learn basic, recreational snorkeling skills in this introductory class. Snorkeling gear will be provided but participants are welcome to bring their own to use for portions of the class.

JUNIOR LIFEGUARDING Junior Lifeguarding is an American Red Cross class designed for children 11-14 to learn the basics of being a future lifeguard. The course will teach the fundamentals of being a lifeguard, water safety topics, and an introduction to CPR, AED, and first aid.
