GEOCACHING Geocaching is a game that encourages individuals of all ages to explore the world and to find real hidden treasure! Using a GPS-enabled device, participants navigate to a set of coordinates and try to find the geocache (hidden container) at that location. These hidden containers include a logbook and will occasionally include a prize. If you take a prize from a cache, make sure to leave something of equal value in its place! Geocaching is a free and easy hobby. All you need is a GPS-enabled device and a free account on www.geocaching.com or any other number of geocaching websites. The Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department maintains several caches in many parks. Do you think you can discover where they are?
