No experience needed; join any time. Comfortable clothes and tap shoes encouraged. Membership required. Advanced Tap Dance Fridays, 12-1 pm Location: Room G13 Register online or call 319-356-5220 Instructor: Mary Ann Letizio Mary Ann has been leading an informal group of advanced tap dancers for years and now she is opening the group to others who have tap dance experience. They will be working on timing, various dances, and Eddie Brown's BS chorus. Membership required. Join us for a weekly group practice of guided meditation. Cultivate your day to-day skills for living in the present rather than worrying about the future, ruminating on the past, or zoning out on autopilot. This educational program is designed to help older adults understand how to maintain healthy hearing, recognize signs of hearing loss, and explore modern hearing solutions. Participants will learn practical strategies for their hearing, get an overview of hearing aid options, and gain insight into how cochlear implants work and who may benefit from them.

Instructor: Megan Valencia, Advanced Rossiter Coach, LMT In this presentation, Megan Valencia, a licensed massage therapist with over twenty years of experience, will present the basics of body movement, how to move to reduce pain, and ways to unwind soft tissue using the Rossiter technique. Rossiter is a technique that uses active stretching movements to enhance mobility and reduce pain. WISE (Wellness Initiative for Senior Education) Tuesdays, Thursdays, Jan 27 - Feb 12, 9-11:30 am Location: Room 302 Register online or call 319-356-5220 Presenters: Community and Family Resources The WISE Program is a free wellness program for older adults, designed to celebrate and promote healthy aging and lifestyle choices! In WISE, you will learn more about ways to protect your physical and mental health, manage medications safely, prevent substance misuse, and help you feel empowered about your healthcare. The program includes six sessions filled with engaging activities, discussions, and time to meet and connect with new people.

Instructor: Megan Valencia, Advanced Rossiter Coach, LMT In this presentation you will be given advice on how to deal with the amount of sitting we do everyday. Megan will provide options and alternatives that are free or inexpensive. Megan understands the underlying musculature at play and can help with pain management plans associated with a sedentary culture. Megan has been practicing massage therapy and bodywork in Iowa City/Coralville since 2001.
